Berk Kinalilar first brought the essence of Mediterranean dining to San Francisco’s Inner Richmond in 2005 with the original Troya. After several successful years, Berk focused on the Fillmore location while dreaming of expanding closer to his new home in Marin. After settling in the area, the Kinalilar family recognized a gap in the culinary landscape. “Customers were asking about Mediterranean options, so we decided to bring Troya here,” Berk explained, emphasizing the couple's commitment to serving their community with delicious, homemade food.
